Entry forms can be found on our website or you can enter online via
All hand spun entries must include a sample of the original fibre, and if possible, the
breed of animal it is from. End use for the yarn must be stated. The wraps per inch on
spun yarn must be stated on the skein sample. For dyed fibre, state mordant and dye used, if possible.
All Woven entries MUST contain sample of the Fibres used. Entries MUST have been completed in the past year.
Classes may be split or amalgamated at the steward’s discretion if enough or insufficient
entries are received. Entries must have been completed in the past year.
Prize Money for 1st place of $10 in each class, if more than 3 entries are received.
Definitions
A garment is a wearable item that contains sleeves or armholes eg. jumper or vest.
A constructed wearable item is one which has been modified or shaped in some way, to
fit the body, but does not have an opening for the arms eg. poncho, ruana, cowl.
A novice is an entrant who has been learning that particular craft/skill for less than 12
months. If you are a novice, please state this in your entry.

Geraldine McCulloch Award: Best item in section 9: Goods of your choice to the value
of $50, donated by Feltfine.
Hazel Cashman Award: $40 cash, for best wearable article demonstrating effective use of

901. Skein – Of hand spun wool, plied, minimum 50g, 11 or less wraps per inch. State end use & wraps/inch.
902. Skein – Of hand spun wool, plied, minimum 50g, 12 or more wraps per inch. State end use & wraps/inch.
903. Skein – Of any other hand spun natural fibre, or mixture of fibres, plied, minimum 50g. State end use.
904. Skein – Of innovative hand spun yarn any materials or mixture of materials, 50g or more. State end use.
905. Any Garment Knitted or Crocheted – From hand spun, 12 wraps/inch or more
906. Any Garment Knitted or Crocheted – From hand spun, 11 wraps/inch or less
907. Any Constructed Wearable Item – Knitted or crocheted from hand spun
908. Any Other Item – Knitted or crocheted from hand spun
